10 Ways to Keep Your Central Nervous System Healthy

Nervous system is the most complex structured system among all systems. Nervous system work as control panel of the body as nervous system designated to react against internal and external stimuli through physical actions and regulate vital functions of the body.

Beating of heart, response to pain and other sensations, digestion, breathing regulations, emotions, body posture maintenance and strengthening and body temperature are some of the essential functions regulated by CNS.

Nervous system has a well defined structure composed of neurons and a proper transportation through the cells that transport the messages from body to brain or vice versa.

Disturbance in these cells causes failure of the basic function and as a result person may face neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer, Parkinson, cerebral apoptosis that are difficult to treat.

As per the saying “prevention is better than cure”, in order to avoid CNS medical condition it is necessary to keep your central nervous system healthy as much as possible.

Ways to keep your central nervous system healthy:

1. Do meditation in your daily routine

Meditation is another way of keeping your nervous system healthy. Mediation keeps your mind calm and soothing nervous system along with helping to regulate heart rate, breathing rate and blood pressure level. Make sure to meditation regularly to maintain your mental health and physical health as well.

2. Do Exercise on a regular basis

Doing exercise on regular basis does not necessary only for physical health it is necessary for mental health as well. This does not mean you need to run for  kilometers to keep your brain healthy you just need to do some brain exercises like solving puzzles and continuing for 10 -15 minutes and other activities that needs the involvement of the brain.

Doing this kind of activities recharge your brain that lead better results better performance by brain. According to neurologists this will help you to sharpen the memory loss.

These activities switch on the nerve receptor so that they can respond to any slightest action that may cause conditions like memory loss, stroke, and paralysis and prevent these conditions.

3. Drink green tea

Green tea is a rich source of antioxidants and other phytochemicals. Having a single cup of green tea helps you to maintain nervous system healthy as well as other system of the body.

Green tea has significant effect on boosting immune system, enhancing thinking ability, concentration and focus and also helpful in treating diseases like insomnia, Parkinson etc.

4. Eat more green veggies

Make sure to add green leafy vegetables toy your diet because they are enriched with antioxidants and help you to maintain your health. Along with green veggies add some foods like Chia seeds, almond and walnut to your diet. They help to improve nerve transmission and strengthen central nervous system.

5. Add good fats in your diet

Although doctors and health experts suggests you to avoid fatty and processed food but you need to add good fats in your diet. Human brain has a blood brain barrier which is lipid in nature that prevent brain and only lipophilic molecules can penetrate through it.

Nuts such as almond, walnut and fish like sardines, tuna contains omega-3 fatty acids which his good for brain. Omega-3 fatty acids help to prevent neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer, Parkinson etc.

6. Get a good sleep

Getting proper sleep is necessary to your physical health as well as mental health. Sleeping helps you to relax your mind and make you feel at ease while if you do not get a plenty amount of sleep you feel irritated or you might have develop the risk of some chronic disease.

These chronic conditions may affect the way you are thinking, behaving or react to any stimuli. Further sleep disorder can increase the odds of having a risk of having diabetes, high Blood pressure and heart disease etc.

7. Get an  exposure to sunlight 

Many of Studies have been shown that sun exposure reduces the risk of many of the health conditions and sun exposure is the best way to enhance the health of central nervous system.

Getting an exposure of 10 minutes in the morning is sufficient to boost your mental as well as bone health as sun gives you plenty of vitamin D.

8. Take a Walk barefoot

Walking barefoot makes a connection between you and earth that has significant affect on human health. This can help you to improve sleep and boosting immune system, normalize biological rhythms, reduce the risk of inflammation and pain, boost your senses and reduce the severity of menstrual cramps.                   

9. Stress management

Stress play key role in many diseases especially associated with mental diseases. The best way to prevent these diseases makes sure to manage stress whether it could be physical stress or mental stress.

10. Drinking plenty of water

Dehydration can cause damage to nervous system and may lead nervous breakdown in case of severe dehydration. Hence to keep your nervous system healthy you need to add more liquid in your daily life. You can have simply water, fruits and vegetable juices.
