But there are things we can avoid that may cause impaired growth and increased shedding.”

She said that “Restrictive dieting can decrease resources and nutrients needed for hair growth,” and since hair growth halted quickly in comparison to other body function under stressed condition hence hair growth go slow on doing restrictive dieting.

Dr. Bordone said “Even after resuming a healthy diet, hair shedding usually goes on for a period of months”.

3. Always keep an eye on protein intake

Protein promotes hair growth along with building body structure and providing strength. Dr. Bordone says that “If your diet is severely restrictive, hair won’t grow optimally, and shedding can occur”.  According to her 50 grams of protein or more per day is sufficient on regular basis.

So make sure to consume protein and always check your protein intake.

4. Try to use some caffeine-infused products

Caffeine is quite popular for its many health benefits raging from antioxidant to cancer preventive effects worldwide. Caffeine also boosts your energy. According to a study published in 2014 it has been found that caffeine may promote hair growth.

Caffeine was found to help promote new hair growth at molecular, cellular and organ levels in men and women.

Nowadays many hair care products infused with caffeine are available so try to use them. Generally they are the blends of ingredients, organic plant material, vitamins, oils and caffeine.

According to Dr. Thomas when we dye our hair with chemical dyes , the dyes changes the texture of hair and process puts a lot of stress that cause breaking of hair.

She said reducing the frequency of coloring hairs may help reducing hair loss so make sure to do it.
